How we run the auction

1

Open at the start price

Set the opening bid at the Start. It's our proven sweet spot — most items close right around there.

2

Let it ride

Competitive bidding is the goal. Keep the energy up and let buyers push each other higher.

3

Never below the floor

The Floor is a hard stop. If bidding stalls, run a giveaway or move on — don't sell under it.

4

Anchor the value

Call out the website price and the crossed-out value. "A $170 pen, starting at $44" is the pitch.

5

Premium stays premium

Titanium and Carbon Fiber are the flagships. Start them high — never anchor them down near Aluminum.

6

When in doubt, hold

Better to pass a pen than dump it. Every low sale trains the room to wait for a bargain.

7

Push multi-pen wins

Get buyers to grab 2–3 at once — they ship in one box, which makes every pen more profitable. Bundle whenever you can.

Host Compensation

Our offer for running Bastion live shows.

$20/hr
for every hour you're live
+ 5%
of sales from each show
Full set
one of every pen, shipped to you

$20 per hour, plus 5% of sales (total hammer from the show, net of refunds and giveaways). We also ship you one of every pen for the auction, so you always have the full lineup in hand. Paid weekly.

Example — a 2-hour show that sells $1,500:  $40 (hours) + $75 (5%) = $115 for the show.
